Since I am new to blogging regularly I thought it would be fun (and shockingly introspective) to do a ‘get to know me’, meet-the-blogger type post.
Here are 50 questions (yes, 50 – I couldn’t quite believe it myself) about me, which I hope will give you a better picture of who I am.
1. Full name
2. Zodiac sign
Gemini. I’ve just had my 24th birthday – and I’m still coming to terms with it! #quarterlifecrisis

Failure, deep water and public speaking.

My family, a really good book and autumn.
5. My best friend
I don’t have a best friend, instead, I have a handful of good friends.

9. What colour underwear I’m wearing right now
Blue. (I’m sure your day is better for knowing that.)
10. How many tattoos/piercings do I have
Four tattoos: the LotR Evenstar, ‘Ambition’ in Elvish, Tibetan ‘Peace’ symbol and a compass with ‘Sic Parvis Magna’. My ears are pierced, too.
11. The reason I started blogging
I started The Raving Gecko back in 2016 and have been blogging on and off since then. I really just wanted to put my thoughts out there and discuss the things I’m interested in – gaming, film and TV. Now I’m studying gaming, I want to bring my two passions together.
12. How I feel right now
I’m excited for the future. I’ve been working through a lot of this year and feel like it’s finally starting to pay off. I’m looking forward to the many adventures that the future holds, whether that be in my career, spare time or through travel – hopefully a bit of everything!
13. Something I really really want
To make a difference.
14. My current relationship status

It was a random thought for a bar that I may want to open in the future. Geckos are wonderful little creatures and I like to rave about games, the two work well together… I hope?
16. My favourite movie
This is a hard one. This depends on time of year, genre, mood – I was a film student for four years, so I find this incredibly difficult. My guilty pleasure film is probably White Chicks, though. It’s terrible and clichéd but I can’t help but sing along with Terry Crews Every. Single. Time.
17. My favourite song
Again, another impossible question. Starlight by Muse and Many of Horror by Biffy Clyro are definitely up there, though.
18. My favourite band(s)
Muse, Biffy Clyro, Kasabian, Imagine Dragons… really, the list could go on forever.

My mum (don’t cry while reading this, please).
24. My relationship with my parents
With my mum, awesome. We’re best friends and partners in crime.

At the moment I don’t think I have any close friends who blog, but I sure hope to find some good friends through blogging.

Before I leave the house, I have to make my bed – if you want to change the world, you have to start by making your bed everyday (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sK3wJAxGfs). Secondly, I journal – mainly just to process my thoughts on paper. Finally, I have to have a cup of tea before bed… I’m not sure when this started, but it’s definitely set in stone.

43. Something I’m talented at
I’m really good at picking up new languages – I learned Danish a few years ago and started to learn Swedish alongside it – I’d love to learn as many as I can!
